Rock Band 2 is coming out on September 14 for the Xbox 360. I love this game myself simply because it’s the full band experience. Guitar Hero: World Tour is just ripping off the HUD of Rock Band’s layout. They are money grubbers. But that’s beside the point…

Rock Band 2 will be great. All of the new features to some seem like a glorified patch, but the smallest things for Rock Band 2 are the best. Online Band World Tour and improved instruments are some highlights. They are adding more customization options. I really hope this is more successful than GH:WT simply because that game isn’t going to be too good.

A special Rock Band 2 premiere event at the 2008 E3 conference was held on July 16, 2008, featuring a performance by surprise special guest The Who, in conjunction with the release of the “The Best of The Who” pack as downloadable content.

Rock Band 2 will have its very own premium drum kit which will be 300$. Yeah, it’s definitely pricey, but I imagine it’s worth it. It is basically an electronic drum kit, designed specifically for Rock Band 2. Don’t worry, if you can’t afford it, they are also releasing a cymbal add on for the regular drum sets as well.
